Sanity
Sanity is a Google Chrome extension that makes comments invisible on several news portals.
Why remove the comments section? Since commenters don't know each other or the subject they are talking about, it' s fairly common to have unproductive discussions, flame-wars and, not rarely, hate speech in the comments section. This makes one wonder why these people have internet access, since the world would be a much better place if they didn't. We cannot correct that, but we can tune them out of our neat universe.
