Sunspot shows you on a map where the sun is shining on Helsinki terraces right now – and where it will be in an hour or two. No more guessing whether your terrace is in the sun or in the shade.

The app calculates the height of the sun and the shadows of buildings for each terrace, so you can see at a glance where you should head for a coffee or a beer. You can find a sunny terrace in seconds.

HOW IT WORKS
Sunspot combines the sun’s location (time, date, latitude and longitude) and the height of buildings in the city to calculate shadows. The higher the sun and the more open the terrace, the higher the percentage of sunshine. All terraces on the map, in one view.
