Extension summary

Logs User Inputs Monitor what you're typing into various websites

This extension logs text input, though is not a pure keylogger. Instead, <input> <textarea> and 'contenteditable' elements are monitored and logged.

Theoretically, this should provide more useful data as a result of disregarding backspaces, cut & paste operations, and other disruptive key inputs.

Additionally, autofill and other automatic or pre-existing text in the aforementioned elements will also register upon interaction.

Logged data can be exported (.json format)

This extension does NOT collect any information

by Das Langston, 2022-02-07

This is a dangerous extension and should be removed. Shame on google for allowing this. I had a mac with screen share turned on... After 280,000 attempts over 4 days to log into my system they were successful (my fault not a hard password, or they had my password from other data...). Once in, they installed fea keylogger. Actually logging in from time to time, they pulled the data from the extension which captured EVERY PASSWORD I USED IN CHROME... This extension is set up to be the best friend of scammers. If someone else gets access to your computer, they just install this which never shows. If they come back to your computer they have a nicely formatted set of data for all your accounts you accessed. Even if your password is stored in chrome, and you just pick it, it then goes to the keylogger program. Please.... Put a warning on this, and don't make it easier for people to hack our systems. What's worse is that that iMac is rarely used. Because i have sync turned on on my chrome browser, it installed this extension without asking me on my other computers. So my main computer compromised all my passwords as well.
