Empiria Scan — ticket check-in for event staff

Empiria Scan is the door app for Empiria event organizers and staff. Sign in, open your event, and scan each attendee's QR ticket. The app validates every ticket against the Empiria backend, marks it used, and shows a clear pass/fail result on the spot — so your line keeps moving and no ticket gets used twice.

Before you start: You need an Empiria account to sign in. Register at https://home.empiria.events/ — accounts are created on the website, not inside the app.

Scan tickets fast
• Point-and-scan QR reading with your camera — it detects automatically
• Flashlight toggle for low-light doors
• Type a code by hand or upload a photo of a ticket when you can't scan
• Recent Scans history for the current session

Know the result instantly
Every scan returns a clear outcome: Check-in Successful, Already Checked In, Wrong Event, Wrong Date, Ticket Not Found, Invalid Ticket (refunded or voided), Not Authorized, or Scan Failed. Tap through to view the attendee and ticket details when you need them.

Stay on top of the event
• Live check-in counts that refresh as you scan
• A running list of everyone checked in — name, ticket tier and seat
• A home dashboard with your upcoming and past events, search, and totals

Bring on volunteers
Invited helpers can join a single event with a one-time volunteer code — no account required. They get a focused screen with just that event and a Scan button.

Secure by design
Staff sign in with their Empiria Google account. Scans are validated server-side against the live database; no keys or attendee data are stored in the app.

Staff-only tool
Empiria Scan is for organizers and admins — attendees don't sign in here. Guests buy tickets on the Empiria shop and receive their QR code by email, which staff scan with this app at the event door.
