Enumerate Firefox

Enumerate

Obtain search results directly from the URL bar

Features & Capabilities

A webextensions add-on to obtain search results directly from the URL bar.

No need to first go to the search results page (unless you need more results and their descriptions, etc., in which case, that is also made available).

Instructions

  1. Type `g` and a space to activate Enumerate.
  2. Type your search terms.
  3. Use the arrows or mouse to select one of the search results to go directly to that page.
There is an extension option to remove the "Go to the full search results" entry, allowing one more search result to be made visible. (Note that the browser enforces a limit of 6 items, including the add-on-specific instructions line, so there is currently no way to expand this: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1375252 .)

For site-specific search (of the site in the current tab), see Enumerate-Site.

Is Enumerate Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Enumerate requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.

Risk likelihood measures the probability that a Firefox add-on may turn malicious. This is determined by the publisher and the Firefox add-on reputation on Firefox Add-ons Store, the amount of time the Firefox add-on has been around, and other signals about the Firefox add-on. Our algorithms are not perfect, and are subject to change as we discover new ways to detect malicious extensions. We recommend that you always exercise caution when installing a Firefox add-on.
