Unfortunately this doesn't provide any real advantage, since you can simply right click a tab in a group and click "New tab to the right". This takes 2x clicks, just like the extension (you have to click the extension and click "new tab" for it to work). Hence it's not useful at all...

Very handy, no idea why this feature isn't native but this extension solves that. In the future I'd like to see, if it's possible, this extension add this capability to the already-existing "New Tab" button or the Ctrl + T shortcut. But for now, it's a big time saver as-is.
