Summary

Welcome to Mavin! A content rating tool to instantly recognise articles you can trust and to rate content yourself. Our purpose is to collectively fight misinformation, bots and trolls so you are able to regain trust in online media.

The purpose of the media has always been to hold governments and organisations accountable. But who holds the media accountable? We believe it should be you. Especially now!

We are being flooded by a tsunami of misinformation, bad bots and online trolls, An infodemic that overwhelms us. How do you determine which articles are trustworthy enough for you to read or share?

We are introducing an IMDb score for online content that allows you to instantly recognise if an article is trustworthy through the indication of the Mavin Trust Score. Mavin is a platform where you are in control of your own data and you can read and rate the quality and factual correctness of whatever is being published online.

We have developed the Mavin Trust Score, where AI and the crowd (you) determine how trustworthy a piece of content is. This is our beta release and in the next release, your relevant expertise and your Mavin Reputation Score will define your influence in the total score. As such your voice really matters, especially on the topics of your expertise.

The Mavin AI score, built on a combination of various open-source tools that can instantly define whether an article is written by a human or a bot and determine the level of bias, fake probability and quality. It will be your starting point in your journey to find and protect high-quality, trustworthy content. The AI currently only works on English articles, but you can manually rate articles in any language.

You can score any article on any platform using our browser plugin. It will also show you the total score (the combination of the AI score and all the crowd ratings) so you can use the plugin as your beacon of trust.

Mavin aims to bring crowdsourced trust to online content. Join the Mavin Movement by downloading our plugin and start rating content. We are currently in beta and we appreciate your feedback. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.
