Extension log

Logs when an extension is installed, uninstalled, upgraded, enabled or disabled. Also keeps track of each chrome update.

Extension Log is a powerful Chrome extension designed to help users monitor the full lifecycle of their Chrome extensions. It logs key events such as installations, uninstallations, upgrades, enabling, and disabling, maintaining a comprehensive history of all extensions — both current and past.

Users can view this data in an organized table sortable by name, state, type, or ID. Additionally, it records Chrome version updates, providing a clear timeline of your browser's changes. Features include exporting the entire event log for backup purposes and saving extension packages in CRX or ZIP formats. Recent updates improve usability with notification badges and enhanced import/export capabilities. Whether you want to audit extension usage or keep historical records, Extension Log is a reliable tool for managing your Chrome environment efficiently.

This needs an update to support the new Manifest V3, which has been a thing for a while. I will still leave at least two stars for the initial usefulness.. currently whenever you view the extension's log page you will now see "eiljhbjamiikjjldhnepillceohglbjh is blocked" and you cannot proceed. This is because Google Chrome has taken notice of the lack of updates and it is no longer considered compatible based on their latest criteria. The only way I know around this issue is to run an outdated version of Google Chrome that is otherwise still compatible with the extension, and you can bet not many users will want to do that. EDIT: If you are looking for similar functionality, go support this project instead which I located after a brief search. It will serve to replace these features and is currently up to date... This extension is essential for managing a large number of installed extensions. Its simplicity and clear overview make it easy to use, and its lightweight design is a big plus. I highly recommend it! Feature request: With Manifest V2 being deprecated soon, this extension might stop working. Any chance it will be updated to support Manifest V3? It would be greatly appreciated!

Extension safety

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Extension log requires a few sensitive permissions. Exercise caution before installing.
