Download Sorter Firefox

Download Sorter

By: mitori
Sort downloads by file type, file name and URL using customizable rules.

Features & Capabilities

A simple addon for download sorting because I couldn't find and addon that would do this exact thing for me. Create rules for a folder: filter by download URL, name or file extension. For example, take the URL for github, and it will put all of your code downloads in one folder.

Supports globs (needs * wildcard character for the latter part of the URL) and regex.

Hasn't been that extensively tested, so if something breaks, it's just as likely to be user error as a bug :)

A side-effect: the animation of starting a download (at least on Zen) plays twice. It's a purely visual bug, but nothing I could do about.

Is Download Sorter Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Download Sorter requires very minimum permissions.
