A major concern is the impending discontinuation as the Chrome extension does not comply with new extension standards. Despite a price increase, technical problems persist. While long-time users still value it, many are seeking alternative solutions due to deteriorating performance and uncertainty about future support.

Pros

It has become a mass of problems on Chrome and another Chrome based browser. I'm sorry to say that after numerous years I'm uninstalling it.

It's early March 2025, I've been using mightytext for about 5 years on my PC, and as of roughly Dec 2024 it's on the edge of being non functional. I can still send out texts just fine, but mightytext doesn't receive about 90% of all incoming texts! I used to get texts generally no problem (except for group texts) but it was acceptable. Now this barely works. Texts don't come in whatsoever, the very few that do, don't trigger the notification sound either. I don't know what happened to this service, but it's awful now. I'm going to start looking for alternatives asap

It was good while it worked. I also started to have issues, and suddenly, it stopped working altogether. They sent notifications about expiration, but I was never able to log on again. Good luck.
