High Contrast
What is High Contrast?
"High Contrast" is a Chrome Extension designed for ease of reading. It applies various high-contrast color filters to web pages, effectively inverting colors where black becomes white and vice versa. This feature can be toggled on/off at ease and is customizable per-site basis. Unlike other extensions, it does not interfere with the site's default colors, hence preventing webpage breakages. However, it doesn't affect photos, built-in pages like New Tab, Settings page, and the Chrome Web store.

Summary

High Contrast lets you browse the web with your choice of several high-contrast color filters designed to make it easier to read text.

When you install this extension, all pages are "inverted", so black becomes white and white becomes black. Press the "browser action" icon in the toolbar to toggle it on and off, or customize your settings on a per-site basis. Use a convenient keyboard shortcut to quickly change your settings while you browse.

Other extensions try to change the default colors, but this ends up breaking many popular websites. Only this extension applies filters to your page that invert almost everything - the only exception is photos, which are left alone.

Also note that the Chrome web store and other built-in pages like the New Tab page and Settings pages are unaffected - extensions like this one are not allowed to modify them, by design.

No matter if your extension has a modest user base or counts its users in the millions, I am interested and ready to negotiate a purchase. If you are in possession of such an extension and looking to turn it into a profit, please consider reaching out to me. We can discuss the price and proceed with a transparent and secure transaction through a trusted escrow service based in the United States. Resolved! After further twiddling, I found a switch at the the 3-dots on the taskbar to open the menu to customize Chrome>Extensions>Manage Extension>select the High Contrast one>click on Details and find the switch to turn on Pin To Task Bar. There are numerous other switches there to play with, too, but they seem to be set to a favorable default and I left them alone. The extension now worked on Gmail, Google search screens and web pages, but it doesn't work on this or other primary Chrome sites such as you home screen. ***Original post*** I've used this extension for several years and it is a little quirky at time. It seems after an update of Chrome or sometimes simply closing the program it loses its memory and takes several days before it will respond. However, as of May 22, it lost all access. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and the icon appeared on the taskbar at the end of the process while an instructional overlay was hanging there, but as soon as I clicked on the icon as instructed everything disappeared and neither Shft+11 or +12 produced any access or result.
