Extension summary
In the world of online learning, Zoom links have a tendency to spaghetti all over the place because it's a bit inconvenient to store them all in one place. Sometimes, when you have literally 9 classes, it might not even be that helpful help to keep all the links in one place because you have to look up which class you should be going to, and then find the corresponding Zoom link maybe from CCLE, it's an annoying process.
With Ok, Zoomer, you can easily add classes directly from your class planner, edit the URL and password if needed, and get directly notified when one of your classes starts.
Now you might say, "well why would you use this over some old regular calendar app?". And I'd say that there are two differences that I believe make all the difference.
- No good calendar app I've found has a feature where it'll notify you when an event starts, AND allow you to click directly on the notification to bring you directly to a link. This extension will do that for your Zoom link.
- Because you can add classes directly from the class planner (this is after all an extension tailored to UCLA), the extension can automatically detect information about the class, like most importantly, the time and days the class meets, as well as the course title, whether it's a discussion/lecture/seminar/lab, etc. This make the process a lot smoother than having to set up say recurring events in a regular calendar app.
Don't worry though; if you don't need those notifications, you can mute them.
