Kotonoha is a learning app that helps you learn Japanese vocabulary through the lyrics of your favorite Japanese songs.

If you search for a song, view the lyrics, and save the words you don't know, those words will return as flashcards starting the next day. Review schedules are automatically set so you encounter the words again just as you might forget them, allowing you to gradually become familiar with them without having to set aside separate time to memorize them.

▸ Song Search and Lyric Learning

When you search for a Japanese song, the lyrics appear immediately. You don't need to wait for the administrator to register the song. Tapping a line of lyrics starts playing the YouTube video from that point.

▸ Automatic Lyric Analysis

All lyrics are broken down by morpheme. A Korean translation is displayed line by line alongside the lyrics. Tapping an unknown word allows you to check its pronunciation, part of speech, and meaning.

▸ Word Saving and Review

When you save a word you tap, it accumulates in your personal vocabulary list. Review schedules are automatically set based on the forgetting curve. After viewing a card, tapping [Revisit · Difficult · Good · Easy] adjusts the timing for your next encounter. ▸ Learning History

The amount you study each day is displayed stacked up like a lawn. Consecutive study days (streaks) are shown, and you can save streaks on days you missed studying using the "freeze" item.

▸ Automatically Organized Vocabulary List

Saved words are automatically sorted into decks by song. You can also view all words at once.
