Ildango, the app for learning Japanese by hand

Japanese has three types of characters: Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji.

Many people stop at the first level, and they stop there even when they start over.

Ildango allows you to progress seamlessly from characters all the way to the JLPT within a single app.

You must write the characters yourself to truly retain them.

You write over 2,000 characters of Hiragana, Katakana, and Kanji by hand.

As you trace the stroke order on the screen, the character fills in; you must complete the strokes to move on to the next one.

Each character comes with mnemonic images and explanations to help you remember its shape.

Reading Kanji is not the end of the process.

After completing the reading section, you write the same Kanji yourself.

This ensures you don't move on to a state where you recognize the character but cannot write it.

The questions are tailored to your current skill level.

The first twenty questions gauge your current level,

and after that, only slightly more difficult questions are selected and presented.

You cannot raise your grade by repeating only easy questions.

The structure is designed so that your score increases only when you master the level above your current one.

Learn words within sentences.

If you memorize words in isolation, they won't actually appear in sentences.

Ildango presents questions by having you fill in the blanks in example sentences.

No matter which word you tap in the example sentence, its meaning and pronunciation appear immediately.

Grammar is also displayed in the same spot.

Asking you again just when you are about to forget.

It doesn't end just because you got it right once.

10 minutes later, one day later, one week later, one month later.

Calculate the time when you are likely to forget and retrieve the word then.

Even words you judged you have memorized are checked one more time after 6 months or 3 years.

Since consistency is difficult to build alone,

compete with other learners in the Weekly League,

and check your place in the Hall of Fame.

You can also use the gold you collect to draw characters and study together.

If you use it every day, you can keep using it.

Your usage period increases by one day each time you complete a study session and verify your progress.

Verification is done once a day by watching a short ad. If you are subscribed, verified days accumulate, and your next payment date is postponed by the number of days you have collected.

Since verified days accumulate on the calendar, you can see at a glance how many days you have been continuing.

Verified days also accumulate as raffle tickets.

You receive one lucky draw raffle ticket every time you verify your study.

You just need to choose six numbers and wait for the draw.

The prizes are 5 million won for 1st place, 2.5 million won for 2nd place, and 500,000 won for 3rd place.

If there are multiple people in the same rank, the prizes are shared.

On the first day you complete 66 consecutive days, you will receive 100 raffle tickets at once.

Your collected raffle tickets do not disappear.

If you become curious about the exam,

you can take a JLPT practice test.

It features the exact same structure as the actual exam, covering characters and vocabulary, grammar and reading, and listening.

The questions are reconfigured every time you take the test.

Receive a congratulatory bonus upon passing.

If you pass the JLPT and upload a photo of your certificate of passing, we will send you a congratulatory bonus of 10,000 won via bank transfer.

Since this is given to those who have studied consistently, you must have verified your progress for 180 days out of the last 300 days.

You can receive the bonus once for each level from N5 to N1 upon passing.

You can look up meanings, usages, and example sentences in a dictionary containing over 20,000 words.

You can listen to all words and example sentences.
