ByCS-Messenger

ByCS-Messenger is the secure communication app for Bavarian schools within the BayernCloud School (ByCS) ecosystem. Designed for everyday school life, it enables GDPR-compliant chat, voice calls, voice messages, file sharing via ByCS-Drive, voting, location sharing, and presence status — all while keeping access restricted to trusted school users and protecting personal data.

The extension requires a ByCS ID and runs on school and private devices without exposing personal information. It supports quick creation of ByCS-ViKo sessions, fine-grained quiet/availability settings, emergency notifications, and simple room deletion.
