(I hope that this isn't too cheeky, but in case it helps other people, I want to mention another extension that helps with vision issues: "V7 Gmail Zoom")

An absolute lifesaver for anyone with common sense still left in user interface design. Google Chrome tried their best to destroy scrollbars but this web extensions bring back sane and usable scroll bars. Am eternally grateful to its developer.
