Šepot – soukromý messenger

Whisper is a private messenger built on metadata minimization. Messages are encrypted from start to finish using the proven Signal protocol (X3DH and Double Ratchet) with post-quantum PQXDH protection — no one but you and the recipient, or the server operator, can read them.

What makes Whisper different:

• No phone number or email — your identity is just a cryptographic key, not your person.
• Sealed sender — the server cannot see who is writing to whom.
• Messages, photos, and documents encrypted directly on your device (SQLCipher), unlocked with a PIN or biometrics.
• Disappearing messages with an optional time limit.
• Contact verification with a security number — protection against eavesdropping (MITM).
• Push notifications without content: only the “you have a message” signal will be received, the text itself will be downloaded only after the application is unlocked.
• Optional de-Googled delivery (UnifiedPush) and entry via the Tor network.

Fair boundaries: Whisper minimizes metadata, but does not promise "zero metadata". Our threat model is public — you know exactly what the server can and cannot see.

Open source (AGPL-3.0 license). You can run the relay server yourself.
