CustomTagLedger Firefox

CustomTagLedger

Audit custom element tags, registration state, upgrade timing, shadow roots, and unresolved web component names.

Features & Capabilities

CustomTagLedger is a Firefox extension for inspecting custom elements on the active page. It builds a compact ledger of hyphenated tag names, checks whether the browser currently knows a constructor for each name, and highlights unresolved or still-upgrading components. This is useful on pages built with web components, design-system packages, hydrated islands, or component libraries that register elements at runtime. A page can look mostly correct while some custom elements remain undefined, upgrade late, or depend on customized built-in syntax that requires careful browser support checks.

A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data.
