Custom Context Search

Custom Context Search streamlines your workflow by letting you search highlighted text using your favorite search engines directly from the context (right-click) menu or a convenient pop-up interface (Ctrl+Shift+F). Perform searches without needing to manually copy text, open new tabs, and paste.

Core Capabilities

• Right-Click Search: Instantly search selected text on any webpage using your chosen engine via the browser’s context menu.
• Integrated Multi-Search: Search selected text across multiple pre-selected engines simultaneously, directly from the context menu or the popup.
• Popup Interface: Use the browser action icon or press Ctrl+Shift+F to open a popup. From here, you can type queries, select a single engine, manage multi-search selections, or access settings.

• Preconfigured Engines: Comes with over 20 common search engines ready to use (Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, Wikipedia, Amazon, eBay, Discogs, Jisho, etc.).
• Custom Engine Support: Add your own search engines by providing a name and a search URL (use %s for the query placeholder).
• Multi-Search Management: Easily select or deselect engines within the popup to customize which ones are used for the multi-search action. Includes "Select All" / "Deselect All" options.
• Context Menu Customization: Choose which search engines appear directly in the right-click context menu via checkboxes in the settings.
• Engine Management: Edit engine names/URLs, remove engines, and reorder your list using drag-and-drop in the settings panel.
• Efficient Popup: Features a clear button for the search field and auto-initiates a search when changing the selected engine via the dropdown if text is present.
• Persistent Settings: Your engine list, order, context menu visibility, and last-used single engine are saved locally. Multi-search selections are remembered for your browser session.
