"The System Is Down" is a Chrome extension that helps you determine if a website is online. It checks the server availability of the current browser tab and displays a red or green icon accordingly. Clicking on the extension reveals the website domain being checked and plays a youtube clip from the HomeStar Runner series.

For the current Chrome browser tab, check if the website is offline. This extension is inspired by one of StrongBad's emails in the HomeStar Runner series.

Sometimes the website still appears in the tab even though the server is not actively reachable. This plugin helps you know if the server is reachable.

Is the system down? The extension icon will turn red. Is the system up? The extension icon will turn green.

Clicking on the extension will affirm what website domain is being checked, and play a youtube clip from one of the HomeStar Runner series.
