User Reviews

Users consistently praise Cookiebro’s powerful, granular cookie controls (blacklist and cookie log). Repeated complaints are that it breaks in recent Firefox versions, lacks updates/dev response, and has hard-to-find or confusing import/editor features. Some report performance or site-breakage issues when cleaning storage.
Pros
  • Powerful and useful cookie management — many users praise its per-cookie control, blacklisting and overall effectiveness.
  • Cookie Log and blacklist features are valued for easy, granular control of cookies.
  • Works across some other browsers/devices (several users note it functions well in Waterfox and on Android).
Cons
  • Stops working or loses features in recent Firefox releases (auto-delete and related behaviors reported broken by multiple users).
  • Appears abandoned / rarely updated and developer is unresponsive — several reviews cite no updates since 2021.
  • Import/editor functionality is hard to find or use; documentation is poor and the editor UX is confusing for some users.
  • Performance and site-impact issues: users report UI refresh delays, startup hangs, and problems when auto-deleting indexedDB/localStorage that can break pages or settings.

Cleared all my cookies because apparently every cookie is unwanted. Thanks Cookiebro, I'm now signed out of every website.

This addon no longer auto-deletes unwanted/non-whitelisted cookies in the latest FF (Im on 143.xx). Sent email to dev, but this addon has had no updates since 2021. However, the addon still works flawlessly with Waterfox.
