Cookie Override Firefox

Cookie Override

Allows to add rules to force specific cookie values whenever a website is visited

Features & Capabilities

The extension allows to add rules overriding specific cookie values whenever a website producing the cookie is visited. This allows, for example, to persist and force website preferences like language and location despite removing cookies on browser exit. The preferences can be stored as rules in the extension settings and applied automatically when a page is visited, while keeping the page unaware of the user's previous visits.

Known limitations The override cannot work on any website which uses scripts to auto-configure the cookies on every visit even if the cookie is already present. Such scripts keep overriding the Cookie Override changes.

Is Cookie Override Safe?

Risk impact
Risk impact measures the level of extra permissions an extension has access to. A low risk impact extension cannot do much harms, whereas a high risk impact extension can do a lot of damage like stealing your password, bypassing your security settings, and accessing your personal data. High risk impact extensions are not necessarily malicious. However, if they do turn malicious, they can be very harmful.

Cookie Override requires some sensitive permissions that could impact your browser and data security. Exercise caution before installing.
