Conex Firefox

Conex

TabGroups married with Tab Containers and bookmark & history search

Features & Capabilities

Conex is a powerful Firefox extension designed to revive and improve upon the discontinued TabGroups functionality. Instead of the traditional TabGroups overview window, Conex organizes your tabs using Firefox's container tabs feature, providing a streamlined and efficient browsing experience.

Key features of Conex include a quick search popup that displays thumbnails of your results, encompassing open tabs, bookmarks, and browsing history. Extensive keyboard shortcuts allow users to swiftly open the Conex popup, navigate between containers and tabs, move tabs between containers, and manage tabs efficiently. Additional functionalities like tab hiding and context menus enhance tab organization and access.

Conex requires permissions for handling tabs, containers, bookmarks, history, and contextual identities to provide a seamless and rich tab management system. This extension is ideal for users seeking to maintain organized browsing sessions without sacrificing quick access and control.

So grateful for this extension. Containers are great, but I wasn't using them all the time until this extension came along and made it not just easy but preferrable.

One of the best tab group management tools I have ever seen. Anybody looking at my Firefox screen asks me "How can I get this on Chrome?" On top of using the container feature of Firefox to create separate tab groups, it allows for easy switching and easy searching. I would add a better way to save all the tabs and be able to restore them at precise points, but the rest is just slick and perfect.
