Five Clues

Five Clues is a clean, addictive daily word puzzle: one hidden five-letter word,
six guesses, and colour clues to narrow it down.

Type any real five-letter word and submit it. Every letter comes back with a
colour: green means it's the right letter in the right spot, yellow means the
letter is in the word but somewhere else, and grey means it isn't in the word at
all. Use what each guess tells you to rule out letters, lock in positions, and
close in on the answer before your six tries run out.

The on-screen keyboard remembers everything you've learned, colouring each key as
you go, so you can see at a glance which letters are still in play and which are
already ruled out. Guesses are checked against a built-in dictionary, so you can't
waste a turn on something that isn't a word.

Play the daily puzzle — the same word for everyone, once a day — or switch to
endless mode and keep going for as long as you like. Your stats follow you: games
played, win percentage, current streak, best streak, and a breakdown of how many
guesses you usually need.

Every word is built in and the whole game works offline, with no ads, no account,
no sign-up, and no special permissions. Open it and make your first guess.
