GuessWhat? Word is a fast, satisfying word puzzle game with a twist: every word in the game — including the secret answer — is made of five completely unique letters. No repeats. That single rule changes everything, sharpening every deduction you make.

How to play

A secret 5-letter word is chosen at random. You have 6 attempts to find it. Type a word using the on-screen keyboard and tap ✓ to submit. After each guess, every letter gets colour-coded feedback:

🟩 Green (+) — right letter, right position
🟨 Yellow (−) — right letter, wrong position
⬜ Grey — letter is not in the word

Use the feedback to narrow down the answer, guess by guess. The keyboard updates in real time so you always know which letters are confirmed, misplaced, or eliminated.

The no-repeat twist

Because no word in the game contains a repeated letter, every grey result eliminates that letter completely — from every position. This makes your eliminations more powerful and your deductions faster. Players who master this rule can solve puzzles in fewer guesses with sharper logic.

Score for speed and skill

Winning isn't the only goal — it's about winning well. Your score is calculated from two things: how few attempts you used, and how fast you solved it. Solve in one guess with lightning speed and you'll post a massive score. Grind it out on your sixth attempt and the points will reflect it. Every second counts.

Track your progress

The Stats screen keeps a full record of your history:
— Total games played and win percentage
— Current streak and all-time best streak
— Guess distribution chart showing which attempt you typically solve on
— Total score and your personal best single-game score
