WorkRota: Shift Calendar

WorkRota is a personal shift calendar for people who want their schedule, actual worked hours, gross pay estimate, and paystub check in one place. It works without a user account and stores work data locally on your device.

Build a schedule without the busywork
Create your own morning, afternoon, night, and other shift types, set a repeating rotation, and edit individual days without breaking the main schedule. Rota Inbox recognizes text from a photo, screenshot, or PDF on your phone. Before saving, you see the matched shifts, recognition confidence, and the exact difference from your current schedule. Nothing changes without your confirmation. Recognition and review are included in the basic version; saving imported changes requires Pro.

Optional modules, chosen by you
Newer and privacy-sensitive modules start switched off. Open Module Center and enable only the tools you want. You can switch any module off later without deleting its saved settings, and WorkRota Pro suggestions have their own control.

Make better planning decisions
Schedule History creates safe restore points before schedule changes. Leave Optimizer finds combinations of time off, shifts, and public holidays that create longer continuous breaks. Shift Decision compares an offered shift using estimated gross income, conflicts, and your personal rest limit. Recovery Plan flags short rest and long work streaks against limits you choose; it is a planning aid, not medical advice.

Keep jobs, routines, and swaps under control
Multiple Jobs combines hours, income estimates, and overlaps from different schedules. Shift Swap prepares a proposal locally, shows the effect on hours and income, and shares only the details you choose. WorkRota Flow runs only the suggestions and local actions you enable; changes to records still require confirmation. The optional Wear OS module sends only a compact upcoming-shift summary to connected watches.

Understand your hours and gross pay
Record actual time, unpaid breaks, overtime, extra work blocks, absences, and holidays. Earnings estimates are always gross and follow the rates and rules you enter. Paycheck Guardian finds gross pay, hours, overtime, and premiums in a photo or PDF; you can correct every figure before comparing it with WorkRota. Money Planner shows a basic forecast and an extra-shift scenario without adding suggested shifts to your schedule automatically.

Protect time outside work
Family rota compares your shifts with a partner or family calendar already available on the device, then shows shared free days and time conflicts. Events are processed on the device for this comparison. Shift reminders can offer safe actions to start time tracking, confirm hours, or open an edit.

Privacy and permissions
Your schedule, timesheet, pay rules, notes, and optional-module data stay on your device. Document recognition runs locally; neither the full document nor its recognized text is retained after review. Calendar, watch, and Health Connect access is used only after you enable the relevant module and grant permission. Health Connect reads only sleep duration when you ask it to, not in the background, and does not send it elsewhere. Purchase status is handled through Google Play and RevenueCat.

What WorkRota Pro adds
WorkRota Pro unlocks multiple saved schedules and templates, advanced reports and earnings rules, PDF and CSV exports, multiple smart reminders, calendar sync, automatic local backups, widgets, and saving imported schedule changes. It also raises limits in Schedule History, Money Planner, Leave Optimizer, Shift Decision, Flow, Family rota, and Multiple Jobs, and enables Wear OS sync.

WorkRota is made for individual shift workers, not company workforce scheduling. It does not calculate taxes or net pay, and health-related features are personal planning aids only.
