Vine Rise

Vine Rise is a lush, fast one-thumb arcade climber set high in an overgrown jungle temple ruin.

A plucky leaf-sprite explorer clings to a mossy stone ledge deep in the ruin while a murky swamp floods up from below, drowning the carved walls in green-brown water strung with lily pads and glowing spores. Vine-wrapped ledges of ancient stone zig-zag upward into the canopy. Press and HOLD the LEFT half of the screen to charge a leap up-and-left, HOLD the RIGHT half to charge up-and-right -- a power gauge fills while you hold, so dose the power to reach the next ledge. Read the arc, release, and land squarely on the stone. Land dead-centre for a PERFECT and bonus points; leap short or long and you plunge past the ledge into the bog below.

The catch: the swamp never stops rising. Linger too long and it drags you under, so every climb is a race up toward the light. Deeper ruins raise the bog faster and stack trickier stone -- ledges that slide side-to-side and rotten ledges that crumble a heartbeat after you land, forcing you to leap on before the stone gives way. Glowing spores float above some ledges; scoop them up on your way up for extra score. Climb the ledges each ruin demands to reach the canopy, then chase a greener best score on every one.
