Balam Run

Balam Run uses Health Connect permissions and physical activity recognition only with explicit user authorization.

The app requests these permissions to provide core training, running, walking, and wellness features. With these permissions, Balam Run can read and sync metrics such as steps, distance, speed, workouts, heart rate, active calories, total calories, and physical activity history recorded in Health Connect.

This data allows users to view their progress, workout history, activity summaries, performance metrics, and evolution within their plans to learn to run or improve their fitness. It also helps supplement the information captured during an active session, such as distance, pace, duration, calories, and data related to walking or running.

The historical read permission allows the app to display previously authorized information, providing a more complete history and trend analysis. The background read permission allows certain metrics to be kept up-to-date even when the app is not open, provided the user has enabled this permission through Health Connect and the operating system.

Balam Run does not use this data for personalized advertising, market targeting, or selling information. Health and activity data are used solely for app features related to training, wellness, personal progress, history, and user experience.

This information is not shared with third parties without the user's authorization. The user can revoke permissions at any time through their device settings or via Health Connect.
