eID România

eID România lets users read Romanian electronic identity cards using NFC technology. Enter the card’s CAN and PIN, then hold it near an NFC-enabled Android phone to access stored details such as name, CNP, address, and date of birth. The app can also scan the MRZ area with the camera to help enter the CAN automatically.

Designed with privacy in mind, the app uses PACE and BAC security protocols and stores card data locally with encryption. It requires an NFC-compatible Android phone, a Romanian electronic identity card, and the associated CAN and PIN. eID România is an independent application and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Romanian Government or public institutions.
