ReadID Me reads and verifies the NFC chip embedded in electronic passports, national identity cards and other ICAO MRTD documents. It uses OCR to read the MRZ to access the embedded chip, then reads the chip via NFC and displays the biographical and biometric data, along with document information, followed by security checks such as Active Authentication, Chip Authentication and Passive Authentication with detailed results.

The app also supports electronic driving licenses (eDL, ISO 18013), currently limited to Dutch driving licenses issued after November 2014. ReadID Me is provided free of charge to show what information is in your own chip. The app emphasizes privacy and does not collect personal data; see the privacy policy for details.
