Your phone, in words. TXT Launcher is a text-only home screen: your apps are names, not icons — no grids, no badges, no noise.

WHAT IT IS
A minimal launcher that replaces your home screen with a short list of the four to eight apps you actually use, set in large, confident type. Everything else is one swipe away in a text drawer with an A–Z rail, search as you type, and categories you define. Rename any app — the name you choose is the name you see.

WIDGETS — ALL TEXT, ALL OPTIONAL
Nine text widgets, each off until you switch it on:
• Clock and date
• Battery and network, as words
• Unread — notification counts only, never previews
• Weather — current conditions on one line, via the open-source Open-Meteo service
• Next event from your calendar
• Now playing
• Today's steps
• A focus line you write yourself

GESTURES
Four swipes and a double-tap, each assignable to any app or launcher action, and widget taps you can point anywhere. With one optional switch, gestures can also open the notification shade or quick settings, or lock the screen the way the power button does, so your fingerprint still unlocks. That switch uses Android's AccessibilityService API to perform those three actions and nothing else: the service reads no screen content, handles no accessibility events, and collects, stores and transmits no personal or sensitive data. TXT Launcher explains all of this and asks you to agree before it ever opens Android's Accessibility settings, and you can turn it off there whenever you like.

HIDDEN APPS
Hide apps behind your phone's own screen lock. TXT Launcher stores no PIN and no secret of its own — your fingerprint or device credential is the key, and the hidden list never even shows a count.

YOUR LOOK
Three grounds: white, dark, and a true black that leaves OLED pixels unlit to save power. Three accent colors or one you mix yourself, and the same for text color — both checked for contrast against the background, so nothing you choose can make the launcher unreadable. Home and drawer text sizes are yours to set, from quiet to enormous. Four motion styles, and the system's reduced-motion setting always wins.

LIGHT AND PRIVATE
About 3 MB — lightweight in the literal sense. No ads, no analytics, no accounts, no tracking. The app makes exactly one kind of network request: fetching the forecast when the weather widget is on, using your location rounded to about a kilometre. Turn weather off and it makes none at all.

A distraction-free launcher for people who want their phone to be a tool again: open it, read a word, tap it, get on with your day. Less noise, more focus.
