Review summary

RecoveryOne app enables convenient virtual physical therapy with helpful coaching and exercise videos, leading to positive rehabilitation experiences. However, users commonly report bugs such as crashes, video loading issues, and inconsistent exercise timers. The user interface can be frustrating due to missing navigation options and limitations in modifying exercise completion. Despite these issues, many appreciate the app's responsiveness, flexibility, and accessibility compared to in-person therapy.
Pros
  • Provides access to physical therapists and coaches with prompt, responsive communication.
  • Includes video demonstrations of exercises making it easier to perform correctly.
  • Allows users to do physical therapy from home with flexible scheduling.
  • Features such as exercise favorites and progress tracking enhance the user experience.
  • Helps users improve strength, flexibility, and mobility through guided programs.
Cons
  • The app is buggy and tends to crash frequently during sessions.
  • Video demonstrations sometimes fail to load, showing only a black screen.
  • Timing and exercise rep counters are inconsistent and inaccurate.
  • User interface lacks back buttons and options to modify skipped activities, causing frustration.
  • Some users find the app not user-friendly and difficult to navigate on certain devices.

App is slightly interactive so you can share what exercises/stretches are preferable or not desirable. The Physical therapists are patient, understanding, knowledgeable and forward thinking in their approaches to your specific needs and responses to your inquiries.

RecoveryOme allows me to communicate with PTs and a coach from the comfort of my own home and rate the exercises to get a more personalized experience without having to navigate childcare for office visits. I check them off as I go in the app so I don't have to shuffle around printed papers from a PTs office. Highly recommend for anyone needing help with pain or mobility!

Solid format and informative content . Responses to questions are answered in a timely manner and exercise explanations are easy to follow . The only thing I would improve upon is adding explanations on what the exercise you are doing is supposed to do for you . Like is this supposed to strengthen my hips or knees etc. I would also like to see improvement on the exercise rep counters . It can be either too slow or at times too fast . Overall , I have no major complaints and I am very satisfied .

A really good experience. Virtual help at all times and quick response to help you resolve any questions or issues, video support with your exercises. Really a great healing option.

The service is good, but the app itself isn't user friendly at all. Please put in back buttons, or a way to modify skipped activity, or etc. One accidental click on an exercise and you either have to do it, or force close the app to get out of it. Accidently skip? No problem, you will be forced to answer why you skipped, and not given an opportunity to complete it for the day. So much more, so little characters left that I can type

Extremely Buggy - Very Frustrating to Use I love the idea of virtual physical therapy. The concept of this app is great however the execution stinks. The app is supposed to have video demonstrations of the exercises - very important. But lately more than half the videos don't work and all you see is a black block where the video is supposed to play. Next the timing is inconsistent. Supposed to do 10 reps but one tick might be 1 s, the next 1.5 s, the next .75 sec, etc. More but no space.

Not the best, not the worst. App is buggy. Crashes 2-3 times per session and built in timers get out of sync. But, I do like the variation and rotation of exercises with app learning preferences. The service part could use some attention as well - my "coach" in app contacted me on my personal mobile (even if covered in terms of service, super creepy, not welcome, unprofessional) and asks me questions I've answered during the intake process. Underwhelming, but free.

The app has been stable for me. Everything works as I expect it to. The process is working too, in most ways it is better than in-person PT. The majority of the sounds are useless unless I crank up the volume. The "next rep" sound and the "start" sound are too soft, not percussive enough to get through ordinary noise without excessive volume. Also, the list of reasons for skipping an exercise don't include any of the reasons that I have skipped, but that seems less important to me.

This is a great app. No problems logging on. I am reminded of the sessions. I like the video of each exercise. I've received prompt responses when I have concerns. I've used the sessions over a month and I am feeling better, strengthened and more flexible.

This app works well for me. I have not had any crashing or glitching. As for the content, my questions/concerns are answered quickly-the coaches and PT staff are very responsive. I always have the option to add notes after each exercise, which is helpful when I have questions or need to modify an exercise. I also like that I can "favorite" an exercise so that I can go back to my favorites any time I want. The calendar feature to track progress is also nice.
