CalorieTrail: Food Calorie Log

CalorieTrail is a food diary and nutrition tracker for recording meals, reviewing estimated calories and following your own weight records. Add foods by search, supported barcode lookup or AI photo analysis. Keep daily intake and macronutrient information together so you can better understand the meals you log.

Meal and snack diary
Record foods with serving amounts and organize them into meals. Review daily entries and adjust portions when the initial amount does not reflect what you ate.

Food photo analysis
Use a meal photograph to request a suggested food identification and nutrition estimate. Check the returned foods and portion sizes before saving them to your diary.

Barcode and food search
Look up available food information by search or barcode. Database coverage varies, and a barcode match should be compared with the actual product label and serving size.

Calories, macros and weight
Review estimated energy, protein, carbohydrate and fat information. Add weight records and explore trends alongside your personal goals and logged meals.

Everyday uses
Useful for keeping a meal journal, understanding serving sizes or comparing daily food entries. It does not diagnose conditions, prescribe a diet or guarantee a weight outcome. Nutrition and image estimates should be checked against reliable food information.

How to use
Choose a meal, search or scan the food, review the suggested portion and nutrition, save the entry and return to your diary or dashboard to inspect the day’s totals.

Important information
Ingredients and cooking methods can change nutrition substantially. A photograph cannot measure every ingredient or portion precisely. Edit estimated quantities and consult packaging where available. Seek qualified guidance for medical dietary needs or concerns about eating and weight.

Begin with a manageable goal
Choose a session or record that fits what you want to do today. A useful routine can be modest and repeatable. Set the available options before starting and review how the result is presented so that you know what the recorded information means.

Adjust one setting at a time
When you change an available target, pace or quantity, keep track of what you changed. Comparing one adjustment at a time helps you understand the resulting record. Choose settings for your own task rather than assuming that the largest value is the most useful.

Keep the routine comfortable
Use a pace and duration suitable for you and take breaks as needed. The app provides a practical tool for recording or guiding a task, not a requirement to continue when you feel uncomfortable. A completed record is useful only when the underlying activity is appropriate.

Check before saving
Review a detected count, food entry or practice setting before adding it to your history. Correct a value when you know the input was wrong. A convenient automated suggestion can still need your own judgment to match the activity you actually completed.

Compare like with like
When examining earlier records, use entries made under similar conditions. A change in source, portion, camera setup or practice settings may explain a difference. Keep these conditions in mind before interpreting a number as progress or a problem.

Access and subscriptions
Some tools, higher usage limits or output options may require paid access. The app shows the available features, price and billing period before purchase. Google Play subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled. Manage or cancel a subscription in Google Play. Trial availability, if offered, is shown at checkout.

Privacy and permissions
Review the relevant permission prompts and the privacy policy for how information is handled. You decide which of your material to import, keep or share. Check the selected content and destination before sharing a result. Online features require connectivity.
