TempoTally

TempoTally is a simple, offline metronome and chromatic tuner for musicians — practice in time and in tune with no account, no ads, and no internet connection required.

Metronome:
• Adjustable tempo from 30 to 250 BPM, with a slider and fine +/- steppers
• Tap-tempo: tap along a few times and TempoTally averages your taps into a BPM, filtering out an accidental stray tap
• Tempo-marking helper: pick a classical marking (Larghissimo through Prestissimo) and it fills in a representative BPM
• Eight time signatures (2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, 12/8) with the downbeat clearly accented
• A real synthesized audio click — not a silent placeholder — with three selectable styles (Classic woodblock, Beep, Digital), each with a distinct accent tone on beat 1
• A pulsing visual beat indicator that flashes brighter and larger on the downbeat, easy to glance at while you play

Tuner:
• Live chromatic pitch detection from your microphone using a real autocorrelation-based pitch-detection algorithm — not a stub
• Shows the nearest note name (e.g. "A4") with a cents-sharp/flat readout and an animated needle gauge
• Adjustable reference pitch, A4 = 430-450 Hz (standard concert pitch is 440 Hz)
• Clear microphone-permission rationale with graceful handling if access is denied — the metronome works fully without this permission

Saved presets:
• Save a labeled tempo + time-signature combo (e.g. "Warmup scales — 80 BPM 4/4") to local history
• Reload a saved preset back into the metronome in one tap, or delete presets you no longer need

• All presets, settings and preferences stored only on your device

TempoTally works fully offline:
• No account required
• No advertisements
• No internet permission — nothing is ever transmitted anywhere

• Tuner audio is processed in memory only, never recorded to a file
