Features & Capabilities

WeeNote is a playful memo, notes and reminders organizer with fully customizable home‑screen widgets. Create colorful, resizable notes that scroll so text never gets cut off, add handwritten sketches, set transparency and rotation, apply custom fonts and images, and schedule timed reminders to appear as notifications. Organize stickies into colored subfolders, sort or drag-and-drop items, trash or share notes as text, drawings or screenshots, and quickly find entries with search.

Protect private notes and folders with a password and keep everything synced with online backup for subscribers. A customizable layout lets you scroll through notes in different directions and view subfolder contents simultaneously — ideal for storyboarding, planning, or outlining. To add a note to your home screen: long-press a free space, choose Widgets, and select WeeNote.

User Reviews

WeeNote is praised for being easy to use and well-organized with folders/colors, and has long-standing users who value its lightweight design and support. However, multiple reviews highlight reliability issues: data loss without backup/recovery, crashes and unsaved edits, and device/update compatibility problems. Monetization through ads/paywalls and removal/degradation of features (e.g., locking notes, eraser tool, color options) dampen enthusiasm. Overall, stability and data reliability are the main pain points for many long-time users, despite some positive aspects.

Pros

Easy to use and straightforward note-taking
Strong organization with folders and color customization
Long-running app with years of use and generally positive impressions
Distraction-free experience for some users (minimal ads)
Responsive technical support reported by users

Cons

Data loss risk and lack of reliable backup or recovery options (notes disappear after reinstall/update)
Ads and paywalls to add more notes (monetization concerns)
Crashes or edits not saving reliably (app closes or becomes unstable)
Locking notes feature removed or broken (security concerns)
Updates degrade usability (eraser tool removed, fewer colors) and some devices become incompatible
