Power Track

Power Track is a Chrome extension designed for customers of Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) to easily track and report power outages across the UK regions they serve. The app features a real-time interactive map displaying areas affected by current power cuts, with detailed information such as fault reference numbers, emergency contact details, affected postcodes, outage start times, and expected repair schedules whenever available.

Users can register to receive automatic updates including estimated engineer arrival, fault resolution times, and alerts confirming when power has been restored. Additionally, Power Track shows nearby electric vehicle charge points relative to ongoing outages. For severe weather conditions affecting larger areas, the extension provides summary updates covering the whole network region. This tool is essential for staying informed about power disruptions and recovery progress within SSEN's service territory.
