Speak with SPIRE

This is an app to submit good quality conversational speech recordings from natives of different Indian districts.

“Speak with SPIRE” is a voice recording app on the Play Store to share your recordings with SPIRE Lab at Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. This app has been designed and developed at SPIRE Lab, IISc, Bangalore. “Speak with SPIRE” records conversations or monologue recordings along with speaker details and shares with SPIRE Lab. It is free to use and has a limitation of maximum 15 minutes on the recording time in a single recording session; however, one can conduct multiple recording sessions to record more than 15 minutes.
Here are some key features of the app:

- It records in wav format (PCM) with single channel and 16KHz sampling frequency
- One can add the metadata of the speakers involved in a conversational recording
- One can add images too (e.g., related to metadata)
- Preview option is available for each recording. You can take an action to upload/re-record/discard based on the quality check after listening.
