Sleep Tracker - HappyNap

HappyNap is a sleep tracker for people who want an honest record of how they actually sleep, night after night, instead of a vague sense that last week went badly.

You already know the difference between a rough night and a solid one. What memory cannot tell you is whether Thursday's late shift cost you two hours, whether sleeping in on Saturday pushes Sunday night later, or how long it really takes you to settle once the lights are off. A sleep log answers those questions with your own numbers.

What You Can Keep Track Of
- Bedtimes, wake times, and how long you were actually down
- How your nights line up across a week, a month, and a whole season
- Naps, and whether an afternoon nap shortens the night that follows
- Notes on what changed: travel, a late coffee, a noisy street, a new schedule
- Broad trends, so one strange night does not skew how you read the entire week

How It Works
1. Set the bedtime and wake window you are aiming for.
2. Record each night as it happens, or fill it in the next morning over coffee.
3. Add a short note whenever something unusual happens.
4. Review the week and change one thing, not five.

Your First Seven Days
Day 1 and 2: record bedtime and wake time only, nothing else.
Day 3: start adding a one-line note about caffeine, screens, noise, or stress.
Day 4 through 6: keep going even if a night goes unrecorded.
Day 7: open your sleep tracker history and find one pattern worth a small change.

Who Uses a Sleep Tracker
- Shift workers: nurses, EMTs, warehouse crews, and hospitality staff rotating between days and nights
- Parents of newborns and toddlers logging fragmented nights they will never remember accurately
- High school and college students through midterms and finals
- Office and remote workers whose bedtime drifts an hour later every quarter
- Truck drivers, flight crews, and frequent travelers crossing time zones
- Runners, lifters, and anyone whose training depends on recovery

Your Weekly Review
Open your sleep history once a week, on the same day, and look for one pattern rather than twenty. Most people find something obvious in the first month: a weekday that is always short, a bedtime that slips on Fridays, a wake time that only holds when they choose it themselves. Change one thing, keep tracking, and check again next week.

Questions People Ask
Do I have to remember to log every single night? No. Fill in a missed night the next morning. A sleep diary with gaps is still more useful than no record at all.
Can I use it for naps? Yes. Naps sit alongside your nights, so you can see how the two interact.
What happens to my records? Your sleep log belongs to you. You decide what you enter and what you delete.
Is it useful if my schedule is chaotic? That is exactly when a sleep tracker earns its place, because irregular schedules are the hardest to hold in your head.
Do I need extra hardware? You can enter your own times from the first night onward.
