Scroll Control - Block Reels

Enjoy Instagram without falling into the trap of endless doomscrolling through short videos.

Scroll Control does not block the apps you love — it empowers you to break free from short video addiction, set mindful boundaries, and reclaim your focus in no time.

Studies show that endless short video scrolling overstimulates your brain with rapid dopamine spikes, leading to brain fog, procrastination, and diminished attention spans. Take control of your digital habits today with Scroll Control and feel the difference in just 48 hours.

WHY CHOOSE SCROLL CONTROL?

Put an End to Reel Addiction:
Ever opened Instagram just to reply to a friend, only to lose two hours mindlessly doomscrolling through Reels? Scroll Control gently interrupts the auto-scroll loop before the algorithm takes over.

Real-Time Scroll Counter & Floating Badge:
Stay conscious of every swipe. A subtle, non-intrusive floating overlay counts your reels in real time (for example, 14 / 30 Reels), keeping you accountable while you browse.

Customizable Daily Limits:
Decide how many reels you want to watch each day (such as 15, 30, or 50 reels). Once you reach your limit, Scroll Control intervenes to remind you it is time to move on to what truly matters.

Unique Accountability Companions:
Choose who holds you accountable when your limit is reached. Pick motivational intervention personas like Dad, Mom, Partner, Sibling, or Strict Mode to give you relatable, encouraging reality checks instead of generic error screens.

Daily Insights & Streaks:
Track your daily progress, view today's reel counts, and build healthy screen time streaks as you conquer your scrolling habits day by day.

100% Private & On-Device:
No login required, no cloud servers, and no personal data tracking. Everything happens entirely offline on your phone.

PERMISSIONS & PRIVACY DISCLOSURE

Your Privacy Always Comes First:
Scroll Control is built with strict privacy standards. We do not collect, read, transmit, or share any personal messages, photos, keystrokes, passwords, or browsing data.

- Accessibility Service API:
Scroll Control uses the Android AccessibilityService API strictly to detect scroll events on short-form video reels (such as Instagram Reels) in real time. This allows the app to increment your daily count and display your chosen mindful limit reminders. The Accessibility Service operates locally and is never used for data collection.

- Foreground Service & Overlay Permission:
To display the live floating counter badge over short videos and ensure the timer updates smoothly without getting killed in the background, Scroll Control uses a foreground service accompanied by an ongoing system notification.
