DashCam: Phone Recorder

DashCam: Phone Recorder turns your Android phone into a dash cam. Mount it, press Start, and it records the road in short loops, keeping the moments that matter and clearing old footage automatically.

MARK EVENT – PROTECT THE MOMENT
Something happens? Tap Mark Event. DashCam keeps the footage from before and after your tap, so you don't lose what led up to it. A short sound confirms it's saved. Marked events are never overwritten, repeat taps extend the same event, and you can name them afterwards.

RECORDING YOU CAN TRUST
- Continuous loop recording in short parts, so a sudden shutdown loses as little as possible
- REC only shows when video is actually being saved
- Keeps recording with the screen off or while you use navigation
- Full-screen mode while driving, with press-and-hold Stop to avoid accidental taps
- Optional screen dimming while recording to help keep the phone cool
- Mute or unmute the microphone at any time
- Exposure measured from the road ahead, so bright skies don't darken plates
- Recovers automatically if the phone or app is interrupted
- Landscape, portrait or auto orientation

RECORD TRIP – NO CAMERA NEEDED
Just want to log the drive? Record trip saves your route and speed without video. It ends when you stop it, when your car's Bluetooth disconnects, or by itself a few minutes after you stop driving.

Choose your car's Bluetooth or charging, and DashCam offers Record cam or Record trip as soon as you connect.

JOURNEYS AND ROUTE PLAYBACK
Every drive becomes a journey with your route on a map. Tap anywhere on the route to jump to that point in the video, or scrub the video and watch the marker move. GPS gaps and low accuracy are shown honestly, never guessed. Brighten and Balance sky help you see detail in dark or glaring footage.

TRIM, SAVE AND SHARE
Trim a clip in seconds, save it to your gallery, or share it to any app. Your original footage is never changed.

DashCam is free to download and fully usable without paying. Pro is a single one-time purchase – no subscription:
- Longer Mark Event windows, up to 2 minutes before and after
- 1080p and 4K where your phone supports them, plus 60 fps and higher bitrate where available
- Exports without the DashCam mark, including older journeys
- Date, time, speed and location on exported clips, with street or town names
- Brighten and Balance sky on saved and shared clips
- Route file (GPX) and journey summary export
- Advanced storage: keep for a set number of days, stop when full, and keep marked events outside the limit
- Driving style, smoothness, possible hard braking, rapid acceleration and harsh cornering, compared with your recent drives
- Camera controls where supported: rear lens, exposure, night boost, low-light frame rate and stabilisation
