PC Connect uses a temporary authenticated local session and should be used only on a trusted private network.

SECURE TRANSPORT V6

Supported Android-to-Android sessions use authenticated AES-256-GCM encryption, ephemeral session keys and file integrity verification. DirectBeam checks completed supported transfers to help detect damaged or altered data.

Important: Secure Transport V6 applies to supported Android-to-Android sessions. It does not apply to the local HTTP browser connection used by PC Connect or Apple/browser transfer sessions.
