BeamDrop moves files between your own devices. You create a room, the other device joins it with a short code, and the transfer starts. No network parameters, ports, addresses or servers to configure.

WORKS ACROSS DIFFERENT NETWORKS

Your devices don't have to share a Wi-Fi. A laptop at home, a phone on mobile data, a work machine on the office network — the room stays the same. Change networks or travel and the room code doesn't change; the feed and the files are still there.

A room is a shared feed: files, text, links, photos, video and calls all live in one list. Send something from your phone, open it on your laptop that evening — the history stays after the transfer.

ANY CONTENT, ONE GESTURE

A Wi-Fi password, a link to a document, a 24 GB archive — the app never asks what kind of thing you are sending. One field, one step, no dialogs or conversions.

NO SIZE LIMITS

Files are not split into parts and not re-compressed. Speed depends on your own network: on a local network the transfer goes directly, at whatever your Wi-Fi can do.

THREE WAYS TO CONNECT

• Wi-Fi — your local network, the fastest route.
• WebRTC — a direct link over the internet, no middlemen.

The app picks the route on its own and switches when conditions change. All three levels are end-to-end encrypted.

NEARBY AND REMOTE

On the same network devices work locally; off it, over the internet. The room stays the same — nothing to recreate when you change places.

CALLS INSIDE THE ROOM

Voice and video calls plus a live view of your working screen, right where the files are. No invite links and no side chat to arrange a call.

WHAT MATTERS TO US

Your files are not stored in a cloud. By default transfers go directly between devices; the server only acts as a fallback route and does not keep the contents.
