User Reviews

Users repeatedly report missing channels and unstable performance, along with a confusing UI and restrictions on what can be streamed. The app’s value proposition is questioned due to price, device limits, and perceived poor support. A few users note stability on certain devices and tablet use for Crave, but overall sentiment is negative due to access, reliability, and UX issues.
Pros
  • Cross-device compatibility (works on phone, tablet, Chromecast, Fire TV, Chromebook) with generally stable performance on those devices.
  • Tablet-friendly app for Crave content, providing a good experience on tablets.
Cons
  • Channels frequently disappear or are unavailable, causing inconsistent access to content.
  • App crashes, freezes, and loading issues (e.g., blue loading screen) across multiple devices including Google TV.
  • Difficult to navigate and hard to find channels, favourites, and recordings, indicating a poor UX/UI.
  • Streaming restrictions and device/platform limitations (cannot stream all channels in a package, relies on Bell boxes, 5-device limit, no desktop app).
  • Price/value concerns and perceived overpriced service, plus reports of weak customer support and help from Bell.

If the playback of recordings a previous broadcasts didn't just randomly quit, I would give it more stars. Its particularly annoying when the replay of an old broadcast quits because you restart were you left off, because most don't allow fast forwarding. The only option is to re-watch the first 40 minutes or just not watch it at all. It should remember that I already watched those 40 minutes and let me skip to that point.

Not the app but the experience. I have been with Bell Expresvu for over 20 years. Half the channels I subscribed to on my bell dish are not streamed or I get the "You must have Bell internet to stream these channels." I'm sorry Bell , but I am in Saskatchewan, and we don't have Bell internet in my area. Will be dropping this and signing up with Corus...
