User Reviews

PubPass is praised for its value and usefulness in discovering new breweries and accessing great beer deals monthly, making it popular amongst craft beer enthusiasts. However, many users report significant app stability and usability problems, including frequent crashes, laggy map navigation, UI elements obscured or inaccessible, and incorrect activity tracking. Some confusion exists when breweries do not accept the pass, but overall users find subscribing worthwhile despite frustrations with the app experience.
Pros
  • Great way to discover and explore new breweries and bars locally and out of town.
  • Offers excellent deals like free beer, buy-one-get-one, or $1 beer every month at many breweries.
  • Easy to use and enhances the beer-drinking experience for craft beer lovers.
  • Provides value for money; many users found it worth purchasing the yearly subscription.
  • Includes a wide selection of participating breweries and venues in the app.
Cons
  • App stability issues: crashes frequently and takes multiple attempts to load or redeem offers.
  • Navigation problems: map is laggy and difficult to maneuver, making it frustrating to select breweries.
  • UI/UX bugs, such as buttons obscured by navigation bars and interface loading behind status bars, limiting functionality.
  • Some participating breweries do not accept the pass, causing confusion when users call ahead.
  • Photo retention and activity tracking features (journeys) are buggy and don't always register usage.

Absolutely love trying new beers in this enables me to try all the new breweries in town and out of town. There is some bugs with photo retention and journeys. I've been to 50 different bars and it says I haven't taken any photos or been on any journeys.
