Christian Prayer Lock App

Every time you open an app that pulls you away, PrayerFocus meets you with a short prayer first. Not a wall. Not a timer shaming you. A breath, a verse, and a moment with God — then the choice is yours.

How it works

1. Choose the apps that steal your attention — social media, news, games.
2. When you open one, PrayerFocus gently steps in with a short, personalised prayer.
3. Pray it, breathe, and decide: continue into the app, or reclaim the moment.

Why people keep it

• Prayers matched to how you're actually feeling — anxious, tired, tempted, grateful
• Scripture woven in, beautifully set, never rushed
• A lamp that stays lit as your streak grows — a quiet daily rhythm, not a scoreboard
• Morning and evening prayer reminders at the times you choose
• A prayer journal of every moment you turned scrolling into prayer
• Works completely offline — your prayer is always there, no connection needed

How the app lock uses the Accessibility API

PrayerFocus uses Android's AccessibilityService to power the app lock. With your permission, the service detects when you open one of the apps you chose to lock, so it can show your prayer before that app appears. That is the only thing it does. It reads only the package name of the app currently in the foreground — never the contents of your screen, your messages, your passwords, or anything you type, and it never collects or transmits that information. The permission is optional: the app asks before enabling it, clearly explains this use, and you can turn it off at any time in Settings. We do not use the Accessibility API for advertising, analytics, or any purpose other than the app lock described here.
