Posture Upright is an Android posture corrector that helps you sit up straight while you use your phone. It uses motion sensors (not the camera) to see how you hold the device and changes screen brightness as a posture reminder.

Slouch, look down, hold the phone flat — the screen dims. Lift it to eye level and sit upright — brightness comes back to the level you chose. It keeps working in the background while you scroll, watch videos, read, text, or use any other app.

HOW IT WORKS

• Upright / eye level → your sitting-up brightness (up to 100%)
• Slouch / phone flat / looking down → brightness eases down (default lowest 15%, adjustable)
• Tilted past vertical toward the ground → brightness stays at your normal level
• Smooth dimming with no flicker
• Optional vibrate if you stay slouched
• Optional strict mode: the screen can go fully dark past an angle you set

A live posture score (0–100) shows good posture, a little slouched, slouching, or very slouched, with “Screen bright” or “Screen dim.”

SETUP

Allow brightness control, turn Dimming on, then use your phone as usual. Optional: bubble and notifications. Sit up and the screen should stay bright. Tilt as you slouch and it should dim.

Pop-ups get dismissed. A darker screen when your neck bends is a reminder you notice. Sit up to see. Stay upright to stay bright. Easier on your eyes than looking down into a full-brightness display.

NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE

Posture Upright does not diagnose, treat, or cure neck pain, back pain, or eye disease. It is a posture-awareness and ergonomics reminder. If pain persists, see a clinician. It does not film you and does not need the internet to dim the screen.

Motion sensors only. Modify system settings so brightness can change in every app. Notifications for tracking status. Overlay only if you enable the bubble. Score and daily averages stay on the device.
