User Reviews

Reviews are mixed. Some users report good or excellent scan quality and a strong nostalgia value as negatives come alive. However, many express serious concerns: forced tutorials, coercive free trials and subscription models that restrict access to user data, reliability problems with scanning and cropping, missing features like lens selection and full-resolution 35mm scanning, and intrusive ads/privacy practices. Overall, it can work for some, but frequent bugs, restrictive monetization, and data-access concerns drive negative sentiment for a large portion of users.
Pros
  • Good scan quality when it works and can produce usable images from negatives.
  • Nostalgia value: some users report memories coming alive and old negatives being revived.
  • Some reviewers praise it as excellent or even the best, indicating strong positive sentiment from a subset of users.
Cons
  • Mandatory onboarding/tutorials that users feel waste time and hamper immediate use.
  • Coercive monetization: free trial that auto-converts to a paid subscription with access to data blocked unless paid.
  • Reliability issues: app can quit after a few scans, with cropping problems and inability to access existing images.
  • Feature limitations: cannot select camera lens/advanced camera options or achieve full-resolution scanning for 35mm negatives.
  • Ads and privacy concerns: intrusive upsell prompts and data access requirements that frustrate users and raise trust issues.
Recent reviews
Colorization is spotty. Scanning negatives is wonky, sometimes Never getting image correct but catching a corner of pic or a part of pic.

Don't bother. You can do the same with a good photo editing app that takes pictures in negative. Also don't bother because you get charged to do that with this app. Im a professional photographer and you can get the same sort of thing using free software. You don't even get the chance by watching adverts as it doesn't let you do anything with the photos for free. Seems the developer gets money from you or from ads. But you get jack... Total waste of time scanning all my photos.
