Review summary
Parazute: Mental journal is praised for its simplicity and effectiveness in helping users track their mental health and emotions daily. It supports social accountability through inviting trusted individuals, which some find reassuring. However, multiple users note that subscription limits access, and the app lacks professional support or intervention. There is a demand for more customizable features like notes and expanded emotion tracking. Notifications to parazuters can be anxiety-inducing, suggesting need for notification controls. Overall, it is valued as a helpful, user-friendly mental health tracking tool with room for feature expansion.
Pros

- Allows users to invite trusted people ('parazuters') to monitor progress

- Supports self-awareness and managing anxiety, depression, and other mental health challenges
Cons
- Subscription is required to access full features beyond a week
- Lacks professional guidance, suggestions, or direct help options
- Needs more activity options and customization, such as note-taking and broader emotion categories
- Notifications to parazuters can cause anxiety; desire for customizable notification settings
- Requires internet connection for some features

This is a pretty good app and I really enjoy doing the daily updates.
It is good to check. Notes and changes preferable: Give activities to help with anything even self-harm. Ask if people with harmful thoughts want to alert their parazuters. Take away pro and give everyone access to everything, this is a mental health app not a money maker.
it's not that it's amazing it's just I can say whatever I want on here and not get shamed and I just feel better but I still feel bad but I feel like I can somewhat breathe again after I speak or type my mind
just a little bit more options are needed otherwise
After paying for a subscription, all I can really do is access my reflections beyond the last week. No professoonal suggestions or any possible contact ir help that I can tell. Seems I put my money on the wrong horse. All this does is make me feel worse when I read my reflections.
I got it once my first therapist told me I wasn't doing better to check how I was genuinely doing and I love keeping track of how I feel
Amazing app; genuinely really helpful. But I wish there was an option to not give active notifications to parazuters since it makes me anxious to invite somebody because everytime I update the app I would be anxious about confrontations. Just letting someone have the ability to ocassionallh check in with the app without asking them to turn off notifications would be nice. Or maybe a custom "do not alert unless you specify you want status update to send a notification"
It's quick & easy. Non intrusive, didn't quite figure out the working of the invite link. But it's one question per section MAYBE 10 seconds. It's easy for me, the one with ADHD AND the ATTENTION SPAN of a deformed crackhead squirrel. So that means a lot to me. The choices could be a smidge more in tune I think or in depth. Also a small space to say what's good or not so good in your mind may be of a little help for some. Far as okay this triggered these emotions. Not again today Satan.
Could use notes as well as a way for those who only use the app for their loved ones to turn off the other use of the apps notifications.
