On the Lab Bench tab, you will find a clean dashboard with engraved glass beaker counters showing your total experiments and this month’s activity. A list of your three most recent experiment titles sits right below, so you can jump back into a project with a single tap. The prominent quick-action button lets you start a brand-new experiment in seconds, keeping your momentum in the kitchen. The Experiments tab displays your full log as a searchable list, each entry showing a title, date, and a colored droplet that gives you an instant visual cue—green for a successful outcome, amber when it needs work, or grey for a failed batch. Swiping left on any entry deletes it, and tapping opens a detail view where you can read or edit every field. Adding a new experiment is refreshingly straightforward: fill in a title, pick a date, optionally reference a base recipe, and pour your observations into the notes field. The form ensures you always include a title and notes before saving, so your records stay complete and useful. Once saved, your experiment appears as a small adhesive label stuck slightly askew on a spiral-bound notebook page, complete with a perforated edge and tiny tape strip. The Notebook tab stitches all your experiments together into a scrollable timeline sorted by date, showing snippet cards that reveal the first line of your notes. Every piece of data stays securely on your device with local storage—there are no accounts, no cloud syncing, and no internet connection required. Whether you are a culinary student documenting trial dishes, a food blogger tracking flavor variations, or a home cook perfecting a family recipe, Emulsion helps you see patterns and progress over time. The entire experience is wrapped in a warm, tactile lab-notebook aesthetic with cork-stoppered test tubes for navigation, subtle coffee ring stains, and a stirring rod save button that brings your entries to life with a brief ink-writing animation.
