The app is used in a study exploringand comparingthe capability of smartphonehealthapplications and wearable sensors in measuring the daily physical activities inorthopedicpatients during a pre-operative and post-operative period.



The study is a collaboration between Aalborg Universitetshospital, Teknologisk Institut and Alexandra Instituttet.



The app collects health and activity data from the study participants smartphone. The participants in the study will use an anonymous research ID to log into the app. This ID will not be tied to any person attributable data.



The project is registered at Region Nordjylland Research Database, and ethical licenses are obtained from "RegionaleVidenskabetiskeKomité" before conducting the study. Participation in the study is voluntary. The recruited patients are thoroughly informed about the process of the study. An informed consent is obtained from the patients before participating in the study.
